How to Make a DIY Disney Toy Story Alien Costume

While they’re not a prevalent part of Disney’s Toy Story 4, the aliens are some of my favorite characters.

I decided to make my youngest a Disney’s Toy Story alien costume a few years ago for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. My husband and I wore easy peel and stick Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head parts on brown t-shirts.

The night before we were set to leave on our Walt Disney World vacation, I create a quick DIY Toy Story Alien costume for my 5-year-old.

How to Make a DIY Disney Toy Story Alien Costume

I bought a child’s sized baseball cap at Michael’s; ideally, a lime green one would work best, but my store didn’t have any in stock. It’s not depicted in the video, but I did have to purchase RIT Lime Green Dye and dyed the cap and let it dry out days before starting the project.

Additionally, in a perfect world, big green pom-poms would also be easy to find. That wasn’t the case for me, and I didn’t feel like making one (though you certainly could) I just hot glued a few lime green pom-poms from the dollar tree together and called it a day.

I glued the pom-pom to a green pipe cleaner and added that to the top of the cap then used heavy duty felt to make the ears and pizza toppings for the alien ‘shirt’ In this video I break down each step of the DIY Disney Toy Story alien.

This project comes together easily for an easy Halloween costume, MNSSHP or a Disneybound idea for fans of any age!

With the opening of Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios last year, we, of course, had to know that more Toy Story would be headed our way, and come our way it did!

Toy Story depicts the unfortunate realities of growing up.

Because there’s an 11-year gap between the second and third movies, both andy and Molly grow up right along with the kids watching.

Once Andy meets Bonnie in Toy Story 3, it’s as if a whole new childhood era begins, so now with Toy Story 4 on the horizon, we’re excited (and perhaps a little anxious) to see where it takes us!

In the meantime, while we wait, keep little hands busy with this fun project DIY Forky Toy Story 4

About Disney’s Toy Story 4

Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (voice of Tony Hale), declares himself as “trash” and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy.

But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts). After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior.

As Woody and Bo realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that’s the least of their worries.

Toy Story 4 comes to theaters June 21st!
